Paul and James founded Cocoa Mountain in June 2006 with the simple aim to produce the most delicious, fresh, and innovative chocolates on the planet. We are probably the most geographically remote chocolate producer in Europe, and feel that the beauty of our surroundings should be reflected in the quality of our products. We are fortunate to be able to produce a fantastic product that makes people smile and be happy - and as a small but growing team, we all take satisfaction and enjoyment from our daily work! |

PLASTIC LAB
PLASTIC LAB, researches ways to recycle fishing ropes, nets and hard
plastic collected from Balnakeil Beach. Fishing nets (polypropylene) is hard and makes good construction material, while fishing ropes (mostly nylon) comes in many colours and is translucent, making it ideal for more aesthetically pleasing products such as lampshades, and decorative bowls. We also sell plastic alternatives such as, wooden toothbrushes, shampoo bars. Come and have a chat about ways to control plastic pollution in our oceans and becoming plastic free. PLASTIC LAB is managed by Plastic@Bay, a non-profit organisation dedicated to removing plastic pollution from our beaches, researching innovative ways to recycle and reuse marine plastic, and outreach about the pervasive, long lasting effects of the pollution from and with plastics.
